Mildren Design Group is currently seeking an Architect and Project Designer ll to add to our team.

Responsibilities of our Project Designer ll position:

  • Works on projects of small to medium scope and works under minimal supervision
  • Reviews building codes to assure the design complies with minimum legal standards
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to quality work
  • Responsible for projects’ technical design; provides planning/design/coordination consultation
  • Responsible for assisting in Master Planning, Site Planning and Building Design exercises utilizing, 3D Modeling, and Digital Presentation Packaging
  • Works independently judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Leads the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents
  • Leads in performing design computations, specification research, compile data, and other supporting technical project information
  • Responsible for providing design excellence on all assigned projects
  • Assists in preparation of strategic plans and collaborates with Principals to manage scope, schedule and fee to ensure project success
  • Assists in managing clients


Essential skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Architectural Degree (5+ years of experience)
  • Licensed or working towards licensure
  • Ability to prepare architectural drawings, showing internal and external layouts of buildings using preliminary sketches
  • Extensive knowledge of commonly used programs, (AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUp and Bluebeam)
  • Exhibits high level knowledge/understanding of current codes and their application
  • Ability to apply sound and developed knowledge of architecture principles and practices in various assignments

Job Knowledge:

  • Manage and review the preparation of architectural drawings, showing internal and external layouts of buildings using preliminary sketches
  • Proficiency with commonly used programs, (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Bluebeam)
  • Proficiency with documents using spreadsheet software
  • Proficiency with word processing software
  • Review and mentoring of current codes and their application
  • Ability to apply sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad array of assignments

Responsibility of our Architects:

  • Reviews building codes to assure the design complies with minimum legal standards
  • Manages consultant designs and integrates them into the building plans
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to quality work
  • Works independently in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Responsible for projects’ technical design; provides planning/design/coordination consultation
  • Responsible for Master Planning, Site Planning and Building Design exercises utilizing, and 3D Modeling
  • Manages the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents
  • Performs design computations, specification research, compile data, and other supporting technical project information
  • Responsible for design excellence on all assigned projects
  • Actively manages project budgets and schedules
